Laura Rue

ACNP, CRNP

Laura graduated in 2005 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Master’s Degree in Nursing.  Since her graduation, she has been a practicing Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Cardiology.  Prior to graduate school, she worked as an intensive care unit nurse for four years.  Her undergraduate degrees are from the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University. 

Laura recently relocated to her home state of Georgia with her family from Alabama.  Southeastern Cardiology is not only thrilled to have her incredible level of experience and depth of knowledge but also her passion and dedication to compassionate patient care. As the newest addition to Dr. Darrah and Jed’s provider care team, she will be available to see hospital follow-ups and any last minute patient visits to improve patient access and timely/thorough care. Laura is considerate and thoughtful in her treatment which makes her a perfect fit at Southeastern Cardiology. 

She and her husband, Les, have three children – Waits, Ann Lane, and Davis. The entire family is thrilled to be back in Georgia, closer to family.  In her spare time, Laura enjoys running, exercising and spending time with her family.
